The Fitch Falcons (7-1) finished a unique 2020 season on Friday night at Greenwood Stadium taking on the Warren G. Harding Raiders. The game was a rematch of the thrilling Week 4 contest that Fitch won 25-21.
Following a strong defensive start by both teams, Josiah Berni opened the scoring for the evening by converting a 28 yard field goal attempt. After Harding turned over the ensuing kickoff, Devin Sherwood found Tyler Evans in the back of the end zone for a 16 yard score. The Falcons carried a 10-0 lead into half time. Harding used a 21-0 third quarter to thrust out to a lead they would not give back. Tyree Mitchell and Jamell James again led the backfield for the Falcons. Tyler Evans and Donnie Ellis led in receiving. Devin Sherwood tossed one score on the night. Defensively the Falcons were led by Nate Leskovac.
This finishes the 2020 Season for first-year coach TJ Parker. The Falcons finished the regular season as one of the only undefeated teams in school history. While it is a disappointing end to the 2020 campaign, the year was an exciting beginning to a new era in Falcon football.
