First opened for the 1968 school year, Falcon Stadium is home to the Falcons’ football, soccer, and track & field teams. In 2015, local car dealership Greenwood Chevrolet sponsored the naming rights to the stadium and it was renamed as Greenwood Chevrolet Falcon Stadium. The original concrete home stands were demolished following the 2022 football and soccer seasons and a new 5,000 seat alumni structure was constructed in time for games in the fall of 2023, bringing the total capacity of the stadium to 8,500. The new structure contains locker
rooms, equipment and storage areas, along with restroom facilities.
rooms, equipment and storage areas, along with restroom facilities.
An artificial turf surface was first installed for the fall of 2007, and was replaced for the fall of 2018 season. Two video boards align each end of the stadium to provide the best possible game day experience for players and fans.
Since its opening in 1968, Falcon Stadium has hosted thousands of games including NCAA Division II football regular season and playoff games for Youngstown State University, OHSAA football and soccer postseason contests, and OHSAA District and Regional Track & Field Championships.
