The postseason awards keep coming in for members of the Fitch softball team. MaxPreps has announced its 2026 All-America Team and two Lady Falcons earned Honorable Mention. Freshman Mila Hamley and senior Kylie Folkwein were recognized for their performances on the diamond during the 2026 season at pitcher and catcher, respectively.
Hamley went 22-1 in her freshman season with her only loss coming in the OHSAA Division 1 State Semifinal in which Fitch was shut out by Lancaster in a 4-0 loss. The first year pitcher threw 10 shutouts and had an ERA of just .84. She already has one perfect game to her credit and threw the first of her two career no-hitters in just her second appearance on the mound. Hamley also surpassed 200 strikeouts as a freshman, finishing the season with 206.
Folkwein finished her senior season second on the team with 15 homeruns, one behind team leader Abby Toth, and was also second in RBI (51) and hits (47). The Syracuse commit ranked third in batting average (.566), hits (47), and on base percentage (.614) while scoring 43 runs and stealing 10 bases to also rank third in those categories. Folkwein was part of a senior class which claimed back-to-back OHSAA Division 1 State Championships in 2023 and 2024, and won three OHSAA Division 1 Regional Championships in four years, four OHSAA Division 1 District Championships, and four All-American Conference Championships.
Widely considered America's leader for high school sports, MaxPreps has closed out the softball season by honoring the nation's top players with its All-America Team each year since 2010.
