Folkwein Receives All-Ohio Honorable Mention

The Ohio Prep Sports Media Association announced its 2026 All-Ohio Girls Basketball Teams on Tuesday, and receiving Honorable Mention was Fitch senior Kylie Folkwein who finished her final season by leading the Lady Falcons in scoring for the year.
Folkwein also earned All-District Second Team Honors and was a First Team All-Conference selection this season. The senior was part of a Lady Falcons team that ended the year with an 8-15 record including a loss at home to North Royalton in the OHSAA Division 2 District Semfinal.
Far and away the team leader in scoring, Folkwein closed her senior year with 298 points while also leading the Lady Falcons in rebounds (161) and steals (42). Her 34% shooting percentage was tied for first and included a team leading 26% from behind the three point line. She was also the top free throw shooter for Fitch as she shot 64% from the charity stripe.
The All-Ohio teams are based on nominations from the seven districts of the OPSMA from regular season accomplishments. The All-Ohio boys teams will be announced later this week.
